Perthro ('Per-throw') (or Perth) represents a vessel, possibly for casting lots OR something to be filled and drunk from. A lot cup was a dice game used for games of chance and fate. In ancient times, gods were associated with destiny by playing a mysterious dice game. A lot cup was also a box in which warriors would draw their lots to learn about their fate before a battle.

This rune is one of the most mysterious ones as it points to randomness, the unknown and infinite possibilities. Its name is unknown to scholars and although many have agreed that the lot cup is fitting, it's linked strongly to the unknown and quality.

There is a big part of our unmanifested future that lays in the hands of chance. Perthro deals with the mysteries of the future and the birth of the universe. Fate, karma, deja vu and coincidence play an enormous role in the mysteries of Perthro.
