Description
Eh waz ("Eh-Was") (or Eoh), represents the relationship that’s based on loyalty and trust between two entities, the horse and the rider. In Norse mythology, Eh waz is said to represent Sleipnir, Odin’s eight-legged horse that symbolizes the fluid and smooth motion.
Bond
The relationship Eh waz speaks of is the deep, emotional and spiritual one found in genuine friendship, the kind of bond you would die for. Horses were not only a means of transportation in ancient times but also social status, speed and a way to see and learn more things. The rider has to carefully manage and tend the horse in order to create this bond of trust and dependence, for its full potential to be realized.
Teamwork
Eh waz can translate to two horses, as a way of two individualized, yet harmonious beings to move a carriage. This rune embodies the force and direct motion, through teamwork, collaboration, flexibility, and adaptability.
Unity
It is the rune of two halves of a whole.

Advice
Ehwaz urges you to trust your instinct but also blindly trust your partner in order to achieve your full potential and be set into motion.
Support
This rune is a reminder that you are strongly supported in order to make great progress in your life, but also to remember to pay forward that support and loyalty you’re receiving. While you can be proud of your progress, remain humble and remember where you started.
Travel
Ehwaz may also represent travel in general but also a method of transportation. It’s a very good rune when extracted, foretelling a period of fluidity in everything you do as well as forward energy and movement.
Ehwaz Reversed
Symbolism
Disharmony, mistrust, betrayal, imbalance, indecision, an enemy, limitation, frustration
Stagnation
With Ehwas in reversed position, you may find yourself be feeling lost or stuck into a static position without being able to move forward.
Blocked Movement
While Ehwas in normal position speaks of moving forward, not always swiftly, in reverse, Ehwas foretells the complete blocked movement that can lead to frustration. You may feel that you are unable to act or communicate.
Disharmony
In reverse, this rune may also speak of not being able to act in unison or a disharmonious collaboration that just doesn’t feel right. Things may feel uncertain, stagnant and sometimes incompatible in your relationship (of any kind).
Advice for Reversed Position
In any of these cases, being passive may be the best solution than to push forward into action. Allow time to show the right direction, while also using this time to meditate in the right direction and action that feels right to you on the right moment. Seek deep inside to hear your instincts that you may have been suppressing due to logical thinking.
