Inguz ("Ing-guz") (Ing waz or Ingwaz) is represented by the ancient god Ing and is the Rune of male fertility. In Norse myth, Ing came to unite the people and provide them peace, harmony and fertility.
Its shape is a representation of duality and harmony, but also the balance between human nature and the Earth as well as everything around us.
Inguz represents the process of a mental seed implanted in your conscious mind to later emerge to a new creation in your life. This rune speaks of the process from one form (seed) and the self-sacrifice of it into another form (the creation) as well as all the characteristics inherited because of this transformation. This sacrifice occurs when one form needs to die so that a new one can emerge.
This rune is the symbol of potential, growth and creation just like the tiny seed holds so much power in it, that explodes into a mighty tree.
Inguz Actions
Socially
Inguz indicates isolation in your spiritual journey but one with fire and lots of inspiration.
Financially
The growth of your ideas will transform into a great profit. Inguz also reminds us of the need for our sacrifice and transformation to achieve a goal.
Love
Strong family bonds and affectionate relationships. Powerful sexuality and fertile energy between partners. Inguz reminds us that we are the ones strengthening our bonds.
Health
As the rune of cycles, Inguz points to pregnancy and fertility or the act of healing a reproductive system.
Inguz urges us to listen to our inner bodies and minds and take care of them (by changing habits, lifestyle, etc) in order to achieve a peaceful and balanced life.
Inguz indicates a strong, healthy, affectionate family, safety and protection. It's the light in the darkness, it's the inspiration. A symbol of male sexuality and fertility, it is the masculine correspondence of Perthro.
As the rune of inner growth, Inguz reminds us that growth of spirituality comes by observing the natural processes. Growth isn't immediate therefore this rune asks for our patience and persistence.
Inguz Doesn’t Have a Reverse Position
This rune has no reverse and is always a bringer of good news. The appearance of Inguz indicates that we need to spend more time in nature or become more observant of the natural order around us, where you can learn so much by observing the natural order and cycles of life but also work on your inner growth through that process.
