5 Firefly (Fire)

If you are very lucky, you may have experienced the magic that comes on a summer night when glimmers of flickering light can be seen flashing on and off in a meadow, amongst the trees, or even in your own yard. These enchanting lights are caused by fireflies, also known as lightning bugs, a kind of beetle whose natural bioluminescence allows them to glow in the dark. Like fairies dancing in the mundane world, fireflies are the perfect symbol for fire magic.

Time to connect with fire magic! You don’t need to have fireflies around to shine light out into the darkness. Light a candle, dance around a bonfire, or even click on a few colorful battery-powered tealights. Cooking counts as fire magic too, especially when it is done with love. Don’t underestimate the ways you can use the magic of fire.
