3 Dragon (Spirit)

Seeing the true self, ego balance.

The Dragon sees all. Its essence was already with us before our first breath and will be with us until our last. It observes our orientation in both the external world and the internal one. When the Dragon's energy is awakened, we are brave, visionary, and can easily become observers. It's as if we travel with an excellent friend inside us. When we look intently into the mirror at our own eyes, we can sometimes catch a glimpse of the 'self' behind the 'self'... the one who watches us. This is the power of the Dragon's fiery transformative breath in every cell of our body. Observing this omnipotent energy even for a brief moment helps us yield and let go. We allow the Dragon to show us the way. We jump on its back for a ride, and even as we overcome the most difficult moments, the Dragon's eye sees beauty everywhere. It is said that if a yogi does not see beauty in everything, their Agni fades. Agni is described as 'inner fire' or 'sacred mind'. And may even one mention of the Dragon stir the coals of your mind.

The Dragon's subtle energy resides in the navel center, in the chakra called Manipura. Manipura translates as 'city of hidden treasures,' and behind its gates burns the fire of our transformation and understanding. The wise believe that the power of the fire located in the navel center is to guard our ability to 'see' both the inner and outer worlds.
