Four of Cups
The Four of Cups tells the story of a beautiful maiden from Pohjola in the Finnish epic Kalevala, who rejected all the joys and blessings that marriage brought her due to imagined sorrows and her mother's negative influence. This card represents someone with a difficult character who cannot enjoy life's pleasures, focusing instead on self-created problems rather than genuine hardships. It warns against allowing negativity and ingratitude to blind us to the good things in our lives.

Card Story
The story contained in this card is about a beauty, the daughter of Pohjola from the Finnish epic Kalevala. About a girl who, because of her imagined sorrows and her mother's whispered poison, rejected all the joys and blessings that marriage brought her (I am not considering here stories where the heroine's marriage truly brought her suffering and disappointment; in this case, it was precisely the wife who had the bad character, preventing her from enjoying the pleasures of existence).

This card has a real prototype among my friends.
Visual Description
A robed woman stands behind a table with her eyes closed and hands resting near four cups arrayed across the surface. She wears a white veil, a gold circlet, layered necklaces and a teal bodice beneath a brown cloak fastened with ornate brooches. Behind her are carved wooden panels with interlacing serpent-like designs and a small Roman numeral IV is visible on the table's edge.
