Symbolism

This is a very interesting card. The cups (which are empty) are located in a chest. The chest is open, the lock has fallen off, and on it is a large red heart. Unlike other arcana, it's not pierced. It's pure and innocent, if you will. The entire scene takes place on a ship, and the ship is accordingly in the sea or ocean. Water flows out endlessly. There's an unlimited amount of water, but the cups are empty. There's now an intention to release emotions freely, a readiness to dive into this water, to dive into these feelings and emotions and fill one's cups. A willingness to let oneself go emotionally. This can manifest both negatively and positively. Literally, to open one's heart and let these feelings into life, whatever they may be.

Card's Message

A person is ready to open their heart and allow emotions to manifest. In relationships – a person experiences great feelings in these relationships, or a person will find relationships in which they will experience feelings. In career – a person feels good at work, joyful, happy, not just a careerist, but with an emotional foundation. With money – a person may spend money emotionally. Money may flow like a river to them, but it will also flow away just as easily.

Visual Description

An open wooden chest sits on the deck of a ship near the bow, overflowing with nine ornate silver cups, several tilted or nested. The sea stretches to the horizon beneath a pale sky, framed by railings, rigging and the mast. A small red heart emblem is fixed to the front of the chest and one cup lies alone on the wooden planks outside it.
