Ansuz ("Anne - suhz") (Aesir or Ansus) refers to Odin, the high god who embodies breath, senses, and the sacred world. Odin brought the wisdom of the runes to mankind through his self-sacrifice at the base of the World Tree. His gifts to the first humans are said to be the breath of life and inspired mental activity.

Ansuz relates to how we express ourselves, especially our central message in life. Odin is the god of communication, so Ansuz can signify matters regarding speech, letters, chants, prayers, and even legal matters. Odin also is a signifier of all forms of creativity, drawing, music, and fine arts.

Its shape is analogous to Fehu. If Fehu represents a man with his arms raised towards the Sky, Ansuz is the God with his arms lowered towards the Earth. While Fehu represents the need and the prayer, Ansuz represents the divine protection and the fulfillment of prayers. Ansuz is a rune of ordering.

This rune foretells a period of joy, openness and progress.

Ansuz signifies being honored and appreciated by those around you as well as a steady ascension.

Ansuz may also reference a highly creative person, or a creative solution to a long-standing problem. Ansuz can also represent a spiritual teacher or leader, that will act as a guide for the individual on their spiritual and emotional journey.

It is a message of guidance, creation and growth from the higher self, god, or cosmos.

Take a look around you. Signs and confirmations are available all around. Everything may have significance and consideration in this situation that will lead you to full understanding.
