17 The Highwayman

I am determined and I will keep trying.

The stagecoach skids to a halt. A single mounted rider blocks the way. The coach horses are agitated, whinnying and stomping. From the coach, passengers cry out with worry. The rider has come out of nowhere, her hair flying and bandana up around her face, but they know exactly who she is. Her reputation precedes her. She dismounts and points her ray gun at the passengers inside. 'Your money or your life, sirs and misses . . . and I ain't gonna say it again.'

The Highwayman is utterly determined. Once she makes up her mind, no matter the odds, she'll run in guns blazing before anyone has even blinked. Nothing will stop her from reaching her dreams, even if that means holding up every coach on this side of the solar system. The Highwayman inspires us to take charge of our situation and create our own destiny.
