29 The Navigator

I will take control of my own destiny.

Looking at the star map, she changes course. 'Set course to 42.5 by 78.4 nanophasic chroniton degrees!' As the ship reaches warp speed, she stands at the front viewport, feeling a dizzying rush as galaxies and nebulae flash past the ship in a neon blur. She is the one steering this ship through the universe. Her fate rests in her own hands. It's a humbling thought.

The Navigator controls her own destiny, steering her ship to safety through the chaos of outer space. Some may think their fate is up to the universe, but she knows the universe is more concerned with stars exploding and planets forming than her tiny blip of a life. She feels empowered to shape her life how she chooses.

The universe is a big, intimidating place. The only constant is change, and the only guarantee is that nothing lasts forever. Instead of seeing this as a scary thought, however, be inspired by the Navigator. You may not have control over the universe, but you do have control over yourself and your actions, so why not take the helm? Steer your ship to where you want to go!

Whatever struggles you might be facing, remember that nothing bad will last forever. Appreciate the good times when they happen.

We can get worried and anxious about things that were never under our control. Embrace what changes you can make within yourself, and see if you can let go of the rest.
