6 Heron (Water)

Herons are beautiful birds who are usually found near the water, although they don’t actually swim. Graceful both on the ground and in flight, they can often be seen standing still for hours on end. Primarily a solitary bird, in many cultures their quiet patience has caused them to be associated with peace, meditation, spirit, and calm contemplation.

Pulling this card may mean that you need to take some time out for spirit, looking inward for answers instead of outward. Whether you practice meditation or simply make space in your day for a few quiet moments, you will benefit from standing still instead of rushing around trying to get things done. Gaze at some water, relax in a bath, or just breathe. Your spirit will thank you.
