In Europe, hares are thought to be androgynous, and in early Britain it was believed they could shift from one gender to another. This is likely due to the fact there is very little difference between a male and female hare, and when Hare appears it calls on you to express both male and female energies in pursuit of your endeavors. Your gender identification does not inform how you express this energy, as all beings have masculine and feminine vitality within them. Feminine energy is your source of intuition and beauty and your ability to receive, while masculine energy fuels your drive and encourages you to take action and set boundaries.

When receiving this card, know that you are ready to act on your goals but must do so in a balanced way. Use your feminine nature or the subconscious mind to check in with your heart, asking yourself if your choice is a true expression of who you are. Then lean into your masculine side or ego to put your plans into action. Both sides nourish and support one another and, in doing so, aid in your growth and evolution.
