Sweet Ostara Harvest
Keywords
The Spring Equinox
The spring equinox has come, and under a strawberry moon, she gathers her harvest of the sweetest strawberries. She is up early, just as the moon is preparing to set, and today will be devoted to sweetness and growth.
Harmony and Symbols
This day is as long as its night, and there is a feeling of harmony flowing through her as she cannot resist eating some of her harvest and offering what remains to the faeries. Earlier she saw a husk of hares, sacred to the Goddess. They were still, gathered in circle, staring at the moon, and she knew this to be a symbol that the flowering time is near. Life is sweet, sensuality is keen, and her senses are awakened and alive. It is as though her body is singing, the heady sights and delicious smells of spring make her dizzy with longing for love.
Fertility and Inspiration
For now, she feels her own fertility rise, and the longing to be a creator beginning. She may not create a babe, for yet a lover is to come, but she feels pregnant with ideas and inspiration as if she is inhabited by a muse whose purpose is to awaken her every skill, every dormant talent she left sleeping for too long. And from this moon, the light will increase with each day ... the light is in its ascendance, and she will do all she can to live awakened, no longer asleep to the beauty of the world, nor to the pleasure of being alive.
