The Gathering

There are nights when she knows that the call of her soul sisters is strong — these times often fall on the eight great festivals. She feels the unmistakable comfort of long friendships, the familiar feel of hand in hand, and the surge of power as their trust in each other meets once again. There are steps they have danced before, and while some of the sisters are her dear friends, some may be new, and there is joy in the meeting of them.

So, although she is solitary and adores her freedom, there are times when she feels the pull of the collective spirit, and she catches hold of the great joy of the gathering. After the ritual, they will feast, there will be laughter, and most likely some tears, as they share moon cakes and mead steeped with honey and fine herbs. Every sense will be stimulated in the pleasure of the companionship of this magickal gathering: chills down spine, new bonds forged, old memories reawakened, precious new memories formed. She will hear the stories of their lives, their covens, their communities, their families, and she will share in their joy.

She is one of them, and she knows that just as she is ever welcome, she is also free to stay within her world. Something magickal happens amidst these old friends each time they meet — there is a tenderness, and an understanding that it is a rare treasure in the world.

A time to gather in ritual with like-minded souls. Magickal groups. Friends who can conjure and cast with you, circle about the cauldron, and light the ancient fire within. Entering the magickal circle in perfect love and perfect trust.
