The card depicts the process of Catholic confession. This is a consultation card. Therefore, there are two themes - one: speaking something aloud and liberation from burden (acknowledgment); the other: the therapist's responsibility, the ability to keep others' secrets.

Preacher - the ability to keep others' secrets. Elder - the ability to articulate problems. Confession - counseling.

Positive meanings: ability to keep others' secrets, ability to articulate problems. Negative meanings: heaviness on the soul. Ambitious desire to control people's destinies.

Confidential conversation.

Today, some kind of confidential conversation is possible. You may appear either in the role of a preacher or as the one confessing.

If someone has entrusted you with their secret, it must be kept without any exceptions. Acknowledgment is liberation.

If something is troubling you, you need to speak up rather than keep it inside. If others confide in you - learn to listen without judgment.

If someone wants to cry on your shoulder today, patiently listen to them and offer advice.

Sharing responsibility. The desire to receive support and understanding, to share something intimate.

To lighten the soul, to speak out. In the reverse situation, an ambitious desire to control people's destinies may arise.

Relief.

Reveals secret aspects but does not disclose them. For the consultant - working in their specialty.

Unequal but trusting relationships.

One speaks - the other listens without thinking about the speaker's feelings. There is no empathy in the relationship. No deep feelings. Perhaps the partner is older in age (experience). Can give qualified advice.

Complete acceptance of any person with all their mistakes.

The barber of King Midas. It's difficult to keep the king's secret (donkey ears). Because King Midas unfairly awarded victory in the contest to Pan instead of Apollo, the latter rewarded King Midas with an indelible mark - long donkey ears: 'He stretched them in length, filled them with whitening wool, forbade them to stand firm and gave them the ability to move.'

Since then, King Midas walked among the people wearing a huge cap pulled over his foolish head, under which the ears were not visible. Only to the barber did Midas appear unwillingly without his cap, revealing his secret. By royal authority, he forbade the barber to chatter about what he had seen.

But the barber was impatient, wanting to tell the royal secret to someone. The barber left home, lay on the ground, dug a hole, whispered into it, joked 'all about ears and ears,' and immediately buried the hole so that not a word would escape around.

But he didn't think that the earth hadn't sworn an oath and therefore wouldn't keep the agreement. Reed grew in that place; its leaves began to play in the wind and whisper to the whole world: 'King Midas has long ears.' The wind blows where it pleases - 'speaks the buried speech, exposing Midas's ears.'

So the truthful words flew, spreading the shameful secret.

Twofold: confess about your own (if about yourself) or keep the entrusted secret (if about others). It's necessary to maintain objectivity.

Bringing relief.

How can we demand that someone keep our secret if we ourselves cannot keep it?

(F. La Rochefoucauld). Having learned a secret from a friend, don't betray it when you become an enemy: you will strike not the enemy, but friendship (Democritus). The desire to share something intimate. Complete acceptance of any person with all their mistakes.

The ability not to judge. One partner, in the power of their dogmas and thoughts, does not listen to or understand their partner.
