People will do lots of weird things to fit in. They will go through all sorts of rites of passage and initiations. This isn't just an extremist line of thinking. We all do it. Getting married, not getting married, seeking promotions, going to school, having kids, not having kids, life is filled with groups we want to be a part of and ones we do not. One can only presume our performer is applying for a spot in Spider Academy. It may look like our player is caught in a trap and at the mercy of the other actors, but that's what it always looks like when you don't know what's really going on. This ceremony may be the most mundane thing for all involved. It all depends on your point of perception and how your mind sees itself in relation to the task at hand.
Challenger
So, what happens if you fail? It's always a good idea to think positive thoughts and see ourselves achieving our goal in mind. However, what if it doesn't come to pass? What seems harmless could end up being trouble. Your path to acceptance could lead you to a solitary journey, not that any of this has to be a problem. You just might want to think about having a backup plan in place so you don't get left alone dangling from the web of your own creation.
