The Hierophant sits surrounded by flowers. Behind him is a portal behind glass – he can see truth crystal clear while not withdrawing into himself. Blue flowers represent knowledge that you can accumulate. Purple flowers, like those of the High Priestess, signify that this knowledge will be secret. His hands form the symbol 'as above, so below,' showing how strongly we connect with our past, and everything we accumulate already exists within us and will not fall from the sky. His long beard and gray hair also speak to his powerful knowledge, as hair is often compared to inner strength. The Ouija board for séances shows how unbound our Hierophant is by dogmas and the weight of this knowledge. Everything truly flows through intuition for him, through generational connection. The bird skeletons, specifically ravens, again show that he is a mediator between life and death. There is even a legend that ravens received their black plumage from contact with fire and smoke from funeral pyres. Why are these fragments under the table? Also, our Hierophant resembles a nail in his form, connecting some construction or situation. The figures on his table are also meaningful: The cube represents our material world. The triangle is analogous to a ziggurat, a portal to higher worlds. The polyhedron represents the enormous number of possibilities that we and our world can experience.
