5 Penguin (Water)

Penguins are a group of flightless birds whose wings have evolved into flippers, and who spend about half their time in the water and half on the land. Although agile and graceful in the water, they can appear somewhat comical when they’re on land, with their black-and-white tuxedo coloring and trademark waddling walk. Penguins are very social creatures who often display affection and playfulness with each other, and even with humans. They slide across the snow and dive into the water with glee, and so they symbolize pure unadulterated joy.

This card tells you to be like the penguin and live with joy in whatever environment you find yourself. Don’t let circumstances dictate your happiness. Instead, choose to play when you can and share cheerfulness, delight, and humor with those around you. Relax, have fun, and embrace joy in life’s simple pleasures.
