I would call this arcana "On the Edge" – night and day butterflies, black and white, light and darkness, birth and death. All of them balance in a moment, as indicated by the clock. The white clothing speaks of purity, enlightenment, and protection. Around her flies the familiar Danaid Monarch butterfly, which points to rebirth, and there stands a cradle that directly tells us about the birth of something new. The black clothing of the second lady speaks of the negative, reverse side of fortune. Among cult followers, she symbolizes crimes and various magical influences from which the Saint cleanses them. Around her flies a moth, as a symbol of concealing secrets and transformation, and a small coffin that shows us what ultimately needs to be "buried." The candle signifies impulse, a spark. The clock represents a reevaluation of one's time during transformation, looking at life from a different angle. The white character has a pendant with the "alpha" sign, the black one has "omega" – beginning and end. One transitioning into the other. The complete duality of this arcana is simply mesmerizing.
