In the past, Wunjo ("Won-joe") was associated with victory in battles, peace and lack of worries. In some stories it is also associated with Walhalla, the Viking heaven, where souls would find peace after death, having fought bravely and nobly. A state of eternal bliss. Lastly, it’s associated with the most precious stones of all, the diamond.

Wunjo is the rune of joy, founded on honesty. It’s your soul’s true will and urges to achieve perfection of consciousness in this life. It carries in its foundation all the elements of love between all human beings. This rune represents a spiritual ideal which cannot be maintained in the physical world. A purity of pleasure and spiritual contentment.

Wunjo’s shape also is similar to a flag’s. A flag that would stand in the ground symbolizing the victory and a period of a long time struggling. This rune reminds you that the energy you radiate and put out to the world, your kindness and optimism, will be rewarded with the same positivity.

Wunjo foretells luck and fulfillment, being satisfied with our achievements. Success, rewards, and achievement of a goal.

Wunjo signifies recovery with the importance of staying positive in order to heal. For those who are terminally ill, going through a lot of suffering, Wunjo brings a release and signifies an end and transition to a blissful state.

Wunjo urges you to cure the hate in your heart and replace it with love. Through the brightness of joy, Wunjo points out seeking clarity and looking at the bright side of life.
