Meaning
The 6 of Pentacles is a card about cycles and about balance, in particular the balance of the cycle of give and take. Where we are abundant, we are asked to give, and where we are needing, to receive. This applies to our basic needs like food, shelter, warm clothing, and care, but also to our personal resources, including time, money, energy, and emotional labor. At its core, the 6 of Pentacles is about the interconnectedness of our resources and our abundance.
Guidance
When we're giving too much of ourselves and feeling depleted, this card reminds us to make time for ourselves to recharge. When we've been scrounging and hoarding for fear of lack, it tells us that there's enough to go around. When we're in need, it tells us to ask for help, and when we've been greedy, it tells us to be generous. Whenever it appears, the 6 of Pentacles asks how we can be of service and where we need to be supported, reminding us that we're part of a larger web of constantly flowing resources, and if we provide for others we too will be provided for.
Imagery
Our card shows a donation box with the symbol of the scales drawn on it, a reminder to seek balance and equity. The box of tampons is both a much-needed donation item and another nod to cycles, reminding us that the cycle of abundance ebbs and flows.
